In his sermon on the mount, AKA the Beatitudes, Jesus went about telling those who were there with him exactly how they could be blessed by God. Spoiler alert: it doesn't really sound anything like the usual self-help advice you might be used to. Far from being a list of dos and don'ts, this often-quoted but not-as-often-practiced passage has a deeper side to it that we may have missed.
